Program Description:
The City of Peterborough offers a Before- and After-School Program
at Edmison Heights Public School for children attending Edmison Heights and St.
Paul’s Catholic School. The Program is staffed with ECE and recreation
graduates. Daily snacks are provided, along with creative activities,
toys, games, and quiet space for homework. Full day care on PA days and
March break is provided at the Edmison Heights program.
Program Philosophy:
The purpose of the program is to provide a safe, reliable, high quality
child care program offered in a warm and stimulating environment. The focus is
to promote the emotional, physical, social and intellectual well being of children
aged 6 to 12 years. Each child is encouraged to participate in a wide
variety of activities whether in a small group, as a whole group, or as an
individual.
