Hucklebug – Stepping Stone Preschool
provides programs designed to enrich the learning experiences of children from 2
- 5 years of age. Programs
Include full time and part time child care.
Hucklebug believes in providing a high
quality child care program where the experiences for children will be
positive. By playing with other children, the social skills of sharing,
cooperating and problem solving will be learned. By taking part in a wide
variety of age appropriate activities in a non-sexist environment, a child’s
self-esteem will be raised and the development of gross and fine motor skills
will be encouraged. By providing challenges, a child’s curiosity will be
rewarded.
In a calm and warm environment, the staff will recognize your child as
an individual whose needs must be met on every level – emotional, physical and
cognitive. A child’s feelings will be respected and cultural and
religious differences accepted and celebrated.
The cognitive program is planned with a balance of activities – structured
program time and free play, quiet activities and active ones. The
playrooms are furnished with opportunities for both quiet and active play.
The integration of children with special needs into our program will
benefit all children enrolled. The special needs child will take part in
all the activities and learn new skills. The other children will learn
acceptance, awareness and helping skills. All staff members work together
as a team planning the programs and activities offered.
